            WELCOME!

This site is designed to assist local church leaders in the process of making Christ like disciples on the Southern California District Church of the Nazarene.  Fresh Start is our annual training event for current and developing ministry leaders.  Each of our departments is committed to providing creative programing, practical resources, and encouragement to our local churches.  If there is any way we can more specifically resource you in this process do not hesitate to contact me or anyone on our SDMI team.  We are here to serve you.

            Fresh Start 2013

            Saturday, February 2, 2013

Every ministry leader understands the reality of church.  It is not “pie-in-the-sky” platitudes.  Rather, it is real people with real needs finding real help in God through an empowered and trained body of believers.  Fresh Start 2013 will help our churches effectively face the reality of Church.  From the basics of how to get a ministry off the ground to more specialized training we’ll give you real tools that will help you make a difference in real life ministry.  Along the way you’ll find inspiration and encouragement from great speakers and ministry leaders who have been doing real hands-on ministry where you and your people live.

This year Dr. Jerry Porter will be our plenary speaker.  You’ll appreciate his real life experience, passion, and vision for a transforming church of disciples.  Dr. Porter is a General Superintendent in the Church of the Nazarene and has served as a Pastor, Missionary, and District Superintendent.
